Devens Conference Center, Devens, MA

YOU ASKED – WE LISTENED: THE MMLA ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS A TWO-DAY EVENT AGAIN!

Join us on October 13 and 14 for two days of networking and camaraderie at the Devens Conference Center in Devens, MA.  Speakers and programs include Amanda Karras, Executive Director and General Counsel of the International Municipal Lawyers Association; John Davis and Ginny Kremer, the lawyers on the Barron v. Southboro case; John Finnegan, and Tom McEnaney on Tyler v. Hennepin County and what’s next for municipal tax liens; Greg McGregor on Public Lands; and Margaret Hurley on Charter Amendments.

Hear the latest advice and tips to update your own clients on these issues that may impact their decision making.

The conference runs from 8:30 A.M. on Friday October 13, 2023 until Saturday October 14, 2023 at noon.  We have also planned breakfast both mornings, lunch and a special award on Friday, and dinner with your colleagues on Friday night (including the return of Municipal Potpourri??) and plenty of time to hang out with your colleagues. The complete schedule of events for the conference is now available here.

Cost $195 for current MMLA members; $225 for non-members.  Includes programs, electronic materials, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Friday, and breakfast on Saturday.  Cash bar.

Hotel rooms may be reserved at the group rate of $199.00 per night, single or double occupancy, at the Springhill Suites Marriott.  You may make reservations using the following link (not mobile friendly): https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1688677704184&key=GRP&app=resvlink

Or, you may call the hotel at 978-772-3030. The group rate will only be available for reservations made on or before Friday October 6th, so please make your reservations ASAP!

Thanks to the generous donations of our membership, grants are available to attorneys (whether they are members of MMLA or not) who are new to the practice of municipal law and want to see what MMLA and our programming is all about.  If you or a colleague wish to inquire about financial assistance to attend this program through MMLA’s grant program, please contact Jim Lampke at jlampke@massmunilaw.org or 617-285-4561.
