This program will address recent developments and common issues regarding the regulation and licensing of alcoholic beverage production and sales. Topics to be covered include recent changes in procedures of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission (ABCC) of interest to municipal counsel, common issues with license applications that result in ABCC Return No Action letters, standards and procedures for local review and approval of licenses and common issues when bringing enforcement actions.

At this meeting, members will be asked to vote on a proposed amendment to MMLA’s by-laws regarding the date of the annual business meeting and election. The by-laws require that the meeting be held on the fourth Thursday of April and that members be given at least seven days notice of the meeting. The proposed amendment would require the meeting to be held between April 1 and June 30 at a date fixed by the Executive Board and that members be given at least 20 days notice of the meeting.
